Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Wellbeing, dignity and equal opportunity
are fundamental
The wellbeing and protection of those we train is central
At 25 Degrees North, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to participate fully in
our mindfulness training programmes.
We believe that wellbeing, dignity and equal opportunity are fundamental rights, and our work is grounded in compassion, accessibility and respect for all individuals.
Our commitment to EDI
We welcome participants from all backgrounds, and we actively celebrate the diversity of the communities we serve.
We strive to ensure that everyone, regardless
of age, disability, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion,
socioeconomic background or lived experience, can access our services in a way that feels safe, supportive and empowering.
We are committed to:
-
Providing training environments free from discrimination, harassment and prejudice.
-
Offering reasonable adjustments to meet individual needs.
-
Listening to feedback and making continuous improvements to our practice.
-
Ensuring our teaching approach is sensitive, trauma-informed and grounded in compassion
Safeguarding and participant wellbeing
The wellbeing and protection of those we train is central to our mission. To ensure this:
-
All facilitators hold an up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, appropriate to the type of work we carry out.
-
All team members complete regular safeguarding training to recognise, respond to and appropriately escalate any concerns.
-
Health questionnaires are used for all participants, enabling us to understand individual needs, provide appropriate support, and ensure our programmes are suitable and safe.
-
We follow clear procedures for confidentiality, data protection and record- keeping in accordance with UK law and best practice.
We recognise EDI as a continuous journey. We regularly review our policies, training methods and accessibility to ensure our services remain safe, inclusive and aligned with current guidance.
We welcome suggestions, dialogue and feedback to help us strengthen our practice and better serve our community.
